Crispy breakfast oats

Description

Enjoy this breakfast treat with fresh fruit.

Ingredients

1 1⁄2 cup
oats (quick cooking type)
1⁄2 cup
all purpose flour
1 teaspoon
baking powder
1⁄2 teaspoon
cinnamon
1⁄2 teaspoon
salt
1⁄4 cup
margarine
1  
egg (beaten)
1⁄2 cup
brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350º F (160º C)
  2. Grease 9x9 inch baking dish.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine oats, baking powder, cinnamon, salt and flour.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together brown sugar and margarine and cream, using an electric mixer. Add the egg and mix well.
  5. Stir the margarine/egg mixture into the oats.
  6. Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish and bake in the oven for about 30 minutes.
