Description
Hard sauce recipe to accompany Christmas pudding.
Ingredients
2 cups
confectioner's sugar (sifted)
1 tablespoon
water (boiling water)
1 teaspoon
vanilla extract Instructions
- Cream butter.
- Add gradually confectioners' sugar, creaming until light and fluffy.
- Blend in salt, boiling water, and vanilla extract.
- Chill until serving time.
Notes
Blend 2 teaspoons rum or French's Brandy into this hard sauce, if desired, to make rum or Brandy butter. For a kid friendly rum or Brandy butter, use rum or Brandy flavoring not the spirit.
