Nutmeg butter

Description

Nutmeg butter recipe for Christmas pudding, perfect accompaniment for your Holiday dinner dessert.

Ingredients

1⁄4 cup
butter
1⁄2 cup
sugar
1  
egg yolk
1 1⁄2 tablespoon
flour
1 teaspoon
vanilla extract
1 1⁄4 cup
water (boiling water)
1⁄4 teaspoon
nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Cream butter.
  2. Gradually add sugar, creaming until light and fluffy.
  3. Blend in the egg yolk, flour and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add boiling water.
  5. Cook in top of double boiler over boiling water, stirring constantly until slightly thickened. Stir in nutmeg.
