Small bites (12 to 18 months)

By now the child should be able to eat properly, taking small bites, chewing and swallowing them before putting more food in the mouth.

By the time your baby is 1 year old, he'll be ready to share many of the dishes eaten by the whole family. But each child develops at her own pace. In addition, taste and appetite also vary depending on each one. Flexibility is still the norm. Children who can walk tend to consume more energy and have more appetite than those who move less.

By now the child should be able to eat properly, taking small bites, chewing and swallowing them before putting more food in the mouth. More complex dishes can be introduced and the little one can begin to participate in family meals.
