Baked tempeh
This easy baked tempeh is the perfect way to get your kids excited about plant-based foods. It’s packed with both flavor and nutrition, so you can feel good about feeding it to your little ones.
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400º F. Line a shallow baking tray with parchment paper.
Place the diced tempeh in a bowl, add the tamari and toss until evenly coated.
Spread the tempeh across the lined baking tray.
Bake until golden and crispy, about 25 minutes.
Remove from the oven. Serve warm.
Notes
Serve baked tempeh with rice, or noodles, and vegetables. You could also add it to a salad.
Baked tempeh will keep well in the fridge for 4-5 days.
To cook tempeh in the air fryter, heat it to 375º F and bake it 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket 2 or 3 times.
Variations
You can add other seasonings to the tempeh. Try to add 1 teaspoon garlic powder and 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil to the bowl with the diced tempeh and tamari.
Bake some frersh vegetables of your choice, cut into sticks, with the tempeh. Try carrots, sweet peppers and onions.
