Kids favorite tortilla chips
Almost all children love tortilla chips and these ware no exception. They baked version are much healthier than store bought chips and the older kids can whip them up in no time which makes them even better. Eat them alone or add a favorite dip or salsa for the perfect snack.
Instructions
Fried tortilla chips
Heat oil in a pan until very hot.
Fry corn tortilla pieces, a few at a time until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
Remove tortilla chips from the pan, drain excess oil, sprinkle with salt.
Notes
Baked tortilla chips can be a bit larger. The best way to cut the tortillas into triangles for the oven is to gently break the tortillas in half and cut each half into 3-4 triangles.
The baked version is healthier because it has less fat. Fried chips absorb oil.
