Creamy quinoa porridge

This quick and easy breakfast is made by cooking quinoa in milk with banana, chia seeds and cinnamon for a creamy, naturally sweetened porridge. Top it off with fresh berries for a nutritious and satisfying morning meal.


1 c quinoa (already cooked quinoa)
1 c milk (dairy o plant based)
1 banana (sliced)
1 t cinnamon (ground cinnamon)
  fruit (optional, fresh berries for topping)
  honey (optional, a drizzle of honey)


In a saucepan, combine the cooked quinoa, milk, banana slices, chia seeds, and cinnamon.

Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is hot and creamy.

Pour into bowls and top with fresh berries and an optional sweetener of choice.

You could add the honey to the pan or to the finished porridge, before topping with fruit.
